Nairobi Summit anniversary
A year ago today, 8,300 delegates from 170 countries descended on Nairobi to recommit to the goals set forth at the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) held in Cairo in 1994. The landmark conference declared reproductive and sexual health as a fundamental human right and affirmed empowering women and girls is the bedrock to a just, safe, and equitable world.

What's Next? ICPD Through the Lens of Reproductive Justice
UNFPA Executive Director Dr. Natalia Kanem was joined by leading figures from the reproductive justice movement and practitioners in the field for a global conversation on why reproductive justice matters today and how it relates to sexual and reproductive health and rights. The discussants will explore how the reproductive justice lens can be used as an organizing framework bridging the whole array of reproductive rights with broader social justice issues.
