Corporate Partners

Since 2016, UNFPA has accelerated working with corporate partners to help thousands of women and girls around the world.

We partner with corporations who align with our mission of delivering a world with improved sexual and reproductive health and rights. With the private sector, we enable the co-creation of innovative and sustainable programmes in over 150 countries creating a large scale impact in sexual and reproductive health globally. We engage businesses and corporations to support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), improved Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) standards and promote inclusivity with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) teams.

Our engagement with the private sector also extends to workplace interventions, which is creating a transformational shift in the health of women workers. The Strategic Partnerships Branch is working closely with some of the world's largest corporations to create an impact on sexual and reproductive health and rights not only for employees, but also for customers, suppliers, global supply chain workers and all stakeholders associated with the sector.

How we work with our corporate partners

  • Awareness Raising Campaigns

Partners use their communications and distribution channels to raise awareness of sexual and reproductive health

  • Financial Contributions

Partners can make a financial contribution to UNFPA core resources or to a specific programme

  • In-kind Contributions

Partners can donate products or services that help advance UNFPA's programmes.

  • Cause-related Marketing Campaigns

Companies can donate a percentage of the revenue from sales of a specific product to a UNFPA programme

  • Expertise and Innovation

Partners can contribute unique pro-bono skills and expertise for example in the areas of supply chain management and information and communications technology

  • Workplace Programmes

UNFPA works with companies to design tailored workplace programmes to promote the wellbeing of female employees. By encouraging women to exercise rights and choices at home and work, companies can benefit from a more effective and efficient workforce.

The Coalition for Reproductive Justice in Business, established by UNFPA and partners, aims to advance and mainstream the reproductive health agenda for women and girls in corporate strategy and operations, to ensure the provision of adequate maternal health support, access to family planning information and response to gender based violence in the workplace.
