UNFPA Evaluation Handbook released

4 March 2019

UNFPA Evaluation Office has released the latest edition of the Evaluation Handbook, How to Design and Conduct a Country Programme Evaluation at UNFPA.

This edition is aligned with UNFPA Strategic Plan 2018-2021, Evaluation Policy 2019, Evaluation Strategy 2018-2021 and with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The guidance and tools presented in the updated Handbook capture the lessons learned from five years of undertaking country programme evaluations at UNFPA. It includes practical tools to help apply methodological rigour to evaluation practices in UNFPA country programmes.

The updated Handbook is part of a broader initiative to promote a culture of evaluation, develop capacity and further professionalization of evaluation at UNFPA. The Handbook further reinforces the ability of the organization to account for results achieved, and apply lessons learned in programming and decision-making.

The Handbook is available here.
