This thematic evaluation assesses UNFPA support to the prevention of, response to, and elimination of gender-based violence and three harmful practices, child marriage, Female Genital Mutilation and son preference, across the Humanitarian-Development-Peace nexus.

The 48 findings of the evaluation are clustered around the following themes, alignment of UNFPA programme with international, regional and national normative frameworks and national needs; contribution to development results; organizational efficiency; sustainability of benefits beyond UNFPA support; humanitarian action; shifting social norms; and advocacy and partnerships.
