After five months of the current crisis, Gaza faces unprecedented devastation, with 2.2 million people in dire need of aid, including 1.7 million internally displaced. The Ministry of Health reported 30,228 deaths and 71,377 injuries, with women and children accounting for 70% of deaths. Pregnant women face grave challenges accessing medical care, leading to a surge in obstetric emergencies and adverse outcomes for mothers and babies.

Over 690,000 menstruating women and girls struggle to access hygiene products and facilities, exposing them to infections and gender-based violence. The crisis also exacerbates vulnerabilities among Palestinian youth, leading to high rates of anxiety, depression, and disruptive behaviors.

Despite challenges, UNFPA remains active in Gaza, delivering essential medical supplies, providing antenatal and postnatal care, advocating for emergency health services, distributing dignity kits, and offering psychosocial support. In the West Bank, efforts focus on supporting readiness for SRH and GBV services, establishing safe spaces, providing Cash and Voucher Assistance, and extending psychological first aid to schools and youth centers.
