Job Summary

The Programme Coordinator, Goma Decentralized Office is the head of the sub-office, ensuring the programmatical and administrative representation of UNFPA in the East part of the country. He/she works under the guidance of the Representative in coordination with the Deputy Representative as head of Programmes.

Qualifications and Experience


Advanced university degree in social work or other social sciences, Business Administration, public/community health, gender, legal advice as it relates to development or related field.

Knowledge and Experience: 

  • At least seven years of increasingly responsible professional experiences in the field of development, including designing and appraising programmes and projects.
  • Awareness and knowledge of gender issues and their relevance in humanitarian and development settings.
  • Woking experiences in humanitarian emergency settings.
  • Knowledge of the United Nations system will be an advantage. 


Fluent in French (reading, writing and speaking). Working knowledge in English (writing and reading).
