In 2014 the Evaluation Office started three thematic evaluations as part of the transitional biennial budgeted evaluation plan (2014-2015) approved by the UNFPA Executive Board in 2014. These evaluations are:
The evaluation will assess the extent to which the UNFPA support to population and housing censuses data strengthens national capacity for the production and dissemination of quality disaggregated data, integrates evidence-based analysis into decision-making and policy formulation over the last 10 years.
UNFPA Support to Family Planning 2008-2013
The independent evaluation of UNFPA support to family planning is a matter of corporate strategic significance for the Fund. It is expected that the results of the evaluation will provide an overall independent assessment of UNFPA interventions in the area of family planning and identify key lessons learned for the current and future strategies.
UNFPA Support to Adolescents and Youth 2008-2014
The purpose of the evaluation is to assess the performance of UNFPA in its support to adolescents and youth during the period 2008-2014 falling under the UNFPA Framework for Action on Adolescents and Youth and the UNFPA Strategic Plan 2008-2013.
