UNFPA Response in Yemen Situation Report #3 – July-Sept 2023

Resource date: Oct 2023

Author: UNFPA Yemen

EN

Yemen continues to face one of the world's most significant humanitarian crises, with an estimated 21.6 million people in dire need of humanitarian assistance or protection in 2023.

Since January 2023, UNFPA's response has delivered life-saving reproductive healthcare, protection information, and services, as well as emergency relief, to nearly 1.5 million individuals. Unfortunately, persistent funding shortages have compelled humanitarian organisations in Yemen to reduce or discontinue essential assistance programmes. Currently, UNFPA's appeal for $70 million to support women and girls' programmes in 2023 is funded at 57 percent.
