The World Health Organization (WHO) works to achieve better health for all people, everywhere. WHO’s primary role is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system. The main areas of work are health systems, health throughout the life-course, non-communicable and communicable diseases, and health emergency preparedness, surveillance and response.
