The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is the specialized UN agency leading international efforts to end hunger. The agency’s aim is food security for all: regular access to sufficient, high-quality food to enable all people to lead active, healthy lives. Main areas of work are helping to eliminating hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition, making agriculture, forestry and fisheries more productive and sustainable, enabling inclusive and efficient food systems, reducing rural poverty and increasing resilience of livelihoods to threats and crises.
