The Position:

The GBV Information Management Analyst/M&E Officer is responsible for strengthening and managing the GBV Working Group’s information management function, supporting the newly established Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) with regard to GBV-related data collection and analysis and monitoring the implementation of UNFPA’s GBV prevention and response interventions.

You will report to the National Programme Officer – Gender/Gender-based Violence (UNFPA Country Office in Manila).

Job Purpose:

You will be the technical focal point for all GBV-related information management initiatives of the GBV Working Group. You will provide direct technical support to Bangsamoro Transition Authority in collecting, analyzing, sharing, disseminating and utilizing GBV-related data. You will support the effective implementation of UNFPA’s multi-sectoral GBV prevention and response efforts and provide technical assistance and conduct monitoring and quality assurance work in close coordination with implementing partners and relevant stakeholders. 

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience

Education: 

Advanced degree in Applied Mathematics (i.e. Statistics) or in Social Sciences with a focus on monitoring and evaluation, data collection, and analysis of data combined with two (2) years of relevant professional experience; OR

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field mentioned above combined with four (4) years of relevant professional experience.

Knowledge and Experience:

Substantive knowledge and practical experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, Information Management, and/or Programme Management would be desirable.

Prior experience in the monitoring and evaluation of gender-based violence, gender equality, women’s empowerment, protection, human rights programs and/or projects, including in humanitarian situations, would be desirable.

Strong computer skills including proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, statistical software as well as database software.

Field experience is a strong asset.

Ability to travel to conflict-affected areas.

Familiarity with the UN System will be an advantage.

Languages:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including fluency in English and national language.
