The Position:

The Project Coordination Specialist plays a key role in improving programme coordination, partnership and advocacy, and in ensuring the sound management of financial resources.  You will focus on integrating project activities with operational aspects at all levels of the programme implementation.

You will report to the Head of Programme.

Job Purpose:

Working within a Country Office environment and in close collaboration with the Head of Programme, you will ensure that the content of all project documents are harmonized in order to avoid duplication of interventions, and that they are operationalized with a view to observe economy of scale.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: 

  • Master’s degree in management sciences, public health, medicine, international development programme management or other social science related field.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Five years of professional experience in development work, especially programme/project management;
  • Solid knowledge and practical experience in sexual and reproductive health, youth and gender programming;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with governments, the academia and development community;
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills;
  • Excellent report writing and compelling oral presentations;
  • Familiarity with the UN system is desirable.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English.
