The Position:
 
The Ethics Office is an operationally independent office at UNFPA, and reports to the Executive Director of UNFPA. 
 
The Office is responsible for supporting the achievement of the objectives of UNFPA by contributing to adherence to UNFPA rules, values and standards through the provision of advice and guidance, training and outreach, and administration of the Financial Disclosure program and the policy on Protection from Retaliation.
 
The Ethics Office is comprised of an Ethics Adviser, an Ethics Officer and an Ethics Associate.

Reqirements:

Education:  
 
Advanced university degree in law, public administration, human resources management, criminology, organizational Psychology or related areas. 
 
Knowledge and Experience: 
 
● A minimum of 7 years  progressively responsible experience in law, corporate compliance, organizational ethics, staff misconduct and investigation, employee relations or other related fields is required.
● Experience in field missions and in provision of advice and guidance on disciplinary matters is desirable.
● Experience in the provision of advice and guidance on disciplinary matters involving interpersonal conflict is desirable.
● Knowledge of UN policies, procedures and jurisprudence relevant to PaR and conflicts of interest is highly desirable. 
● Experience in an International Organization (UN system or multilateral context) highly desirable.
 
Languages:
 
● Fluency in English is required, with proven ability to express well verbally and in writing.
● Good knowledge of other UN official languages (in particular French, Arabic, or Spanish) is desirable.
