Executive Board of UNDP, UNFPA and UNOPS: First Regular Session 2022

31 January 2022

The Executive Board holds its first regular session of the new year through 4 February. The UNFPA segment will be held on 3 February, beginning with Executive Director Dr. Natalia Kanem delivering her statement. In the afternoon, the Board will discuss UNFPA country programmes and related matters followed by a discussion on the Quadrennial Budgeted Evaluation Plan, 2022-2025.

Comprising representatives of 36 countries who serve on a rotating basis, the Executive Board ensures UNFPA remains responsive to programme country needs and supports the agency’s mandate of delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person’s potential is fulfilled.

The Executive Board sessions, of which there are three each year, are broadcast on UN Web TV. In carrying out its work, UNFPA counts on the support, guidance and counsel of the Executive Board.
