mutilation (FGM), the altering or injuring of genitalia for non-medical
reasons, before their 5th birthday. This harmful practice can cause severe
health issues, including depression, infertility, even death. Some 230 million
girls and women worldwide have undergone the procedure.
Meet change-makers weaving new patterns of hope, and stand with us to end FGM.
