Sending Essential Supplies to Libya

In the aftermath of natural disasters, we are on the ground serving women and newborns

After Storm Daniel struck, flash floods in Libya destroyed infrastructure and reportedly washed away entire neighborhoods. With thousands of families already displaced, we know that pregnant women and newborns will be amongst the most at risk.

UNFPA is working to distribute essential kits for impacted women, including Dignity Kits to ensure women can manage their menstruation with dignity, and Mama Kits for new mothers and their newborns to provide them with the essentials after the disaster. 

Our teams are working closely with partners to ensure that life-saving services for women and newborns in Libya are integrated into emergency responses.
