Rebuilding a hospital shattered by war in Sudan

“We must rebuild.”

The last baby born in the main health facility in Khartoum, Sudan was in 2023, on the first day of the war.

Since then, attacks have destroyed not just the facility, but also its equipment and water supply.

UNFPA Deputy Executive Director - Management, Mr. Andrew Saberton, describes the work to restore it.

UNFPA and partners will not stop until the doors are open again.
