Innovating to Ensure Rights and Choices

22 Jul 2020

More than 200 million women in developing countries wanting to avoid, delay, or space their pregnancies, yet are not using an effective family planning method. How might innovation help unlock new approaches so that every woman, girl, and young person have the information and means to make the best choices for their sexual and reproductive lives?

UNFPA Innovation supported eight country teams to design and rapidly prototype different solutions that expand women and girls' sexual and reproductive health, rights, and choices. From mining big data to uncover pregnancy myths, testing digital approaches with youth to access information beyond schools and clinics, and designing ways for facilities to track health commodities in real-time -- learn more about these innovations here.
