I was 15 when I left to live with my uncle. When I turned 16, my uncle instructed me to marry one of his students. I refused but he insisted, and I was married off.

I couldn’t further my education, because my husband did not allow me.

We left after the Boko Haram insurgents attacked our community. Since we started living as IDPs, my husband takes away any aid I get and disappears for weeks. I have been unhappily married for years. If I was not forced to marry, I believe I would have been happier.
