The UNFPA-UNICEF Global Programme to End Child Marriage has developed and field-tested a Gender-Transformative Accelerator (GTA) Tool to operationalize gender-transformative programming under Phase II (2020-23) of the Global Programme, the tool is aimed at facilitating interactive programmatic reflection, rapid assessment and action planning to end child marriage.

The Mozambique Country Office undertook the GTA for three full days with the full engagement of sectoral experts and some implementing partners virtually. Prior to the actual GTA process, the country office’s lead focal points participated into two pre-call meetings to: (1) clarify the methodology of the tool and expectations; and (2) have a facilitated discussion on themes to be prioritized during the actual GTA process.

This GTA Country Report contains the process developed, the ranking through the gender equity continuum, the priority setting across the ecological model and the final roadmap of actions leading to transformative pathways of change.
