The Essential Services Package is a guidance tool identifying the essential services to be provided to all women and girls who have experienced gender-based violence, including services that should be provided by the health, social services, police and justice sectors. This package also provides guidelines for the coordination of these services.

Module 7 is a guide on estimating resource requirements for a minimum package of services, based on selected ‘essential actions’ identified across the police and justice, social services and coordination modules in the Essential Services Package, produced in 2020.

It has been developed to enable national institutions to estimate the resource requirements for a minimum package of services, based on selected ‘essential actions’ identified across the police and justice, social services and coordination modules in the Essential Services Package.

Module 1 offers an introduction to the Package, as well as foundational elements and information on how to use this tool. Modules 2 through 5 cover standards and guidelines for the health, police and justice, social services, and coordination and governance sectors and Module 6 is an implementation guide. Modules 1 through 5 were published in 2015, while Module 6 was produced in 2017.
