Adopting a trauma-informed and responsive policing framework for TFGBV is a UNFPA and UNODC handout for police and law enforcement. It equips officers to respond to TFGBV survivors in ways that recognise trauma, prioritise safety, and hold perpetrators to account. The framework is organised in four parts: A) How trauma presents itself in police interactions, B) Listening and validation, C) Safety and security, and D) Preparation and prediction.
