UNFPA statement on the attack of the Sayed Ul-Shuhada high school, in Kabul, Afghanistan

UNFPA, the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency, condemns the horrifying attack in Kabul, Afghanistan near the Sayed Ul-Shuhada high school, which killed and injured many school children, mostly girls.

Violence targeted near schools against civilians violates human rights and humanitarian law. 

UNFPA calls on all parties to cease hostilities, abide by international law, and protect civilians and civilian infrastructure.
