The Position:

The Procurement and Logistics Analyst serves the procurement and contracting needs of the forthcoming census project.   S/he will be under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Chief Technical Adviser (CTA) and will functionally report to the International Operations Manager.  S/he will be embedded in Liberia Institute for Statistics and Geo-Information Services (LISGIS) offices.

Job Purpose:

The Procurement and Logistics Analyst will ensure efficient, fully accountable, smoothly functioning and well-managed Procurement support and services that facilitate programme implementation and delivery. This position provides support to the Chief Technical Advisor in strategically undertaking Procurement functions for the census project.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: 

  • Advanced university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Public Administration, Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Procurement or other related fields;  
  • Minimum of Level 3 CIPS certification is required.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant practical and progressive experience in the field, especially in Africa;
  • Experience working on a population census will add a significant value.
  • Solid experience in procurement and logistics management and knowledge of UNFPA procedures and procurement rules.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English is required.
