Job Setting:

The UNFPA Regional Office for East and Southern Africa is in the process of establishing a Multi-Country Middle-Income Countries Hub, based in Johannesburg, with the aim to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of its presence in the region. The MIC Hub will provide unique technical expertise and operational services to Country Offices based in middle income countries in Southern Africa, i.e. Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa and Swaziland initially.   

Job Purpose:

Education:

Post-graduate university degree or equivalent in public health, medicine, demography, economics, international development, public administration, management or other related fields. 

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 10 years of increasingly responsible professional experience in management and development relevant to Health System Strengthening and SRH.
  • Field experience is strongly desirable 

Languages:

Fluency in English required; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
