Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Representative, the SRH/HIV Linkages Coordinator substantively coordinates the scaling up of the SRH/HIV & SGBV within the broad government integration agenda. Botswana is among the ten countries in the region implementing the SRH/HIV & SGBV Joint Regional Program named 2gether4SRHR.  After successfully piloting the SRH/HIV Linkages Project in ten sites, the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MoHW) decided to expand the integration to encompass Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health plus Nutrition (RMNCAH). The “2gether4SRHR programme seeks to strengthen access to integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)/HIV and Sexual & Gender Based Violence (SGBV) services in order to accelerate action on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 3 and 5.

A Programme  Coordinator is therefore required to support the MoHW to implement the SRHR/HIV & SGBV programme.

How you can make a difference:
UNFPA is the lead UN agency for delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person’s potential is fulfilled. UNFPA’s new strategic plan (2018-2021), focuses on three transformative results: to end preventable maternal deaths; end unmet need for family planning; and end gender-based violence and harmful practices.
