The Position:

The Project Analyst contributes towards the improvement of programme coordination, partnerships and advocacy, the enhancement of national capacity development and the sound management of financial resources.  You will ensure and guide appropriate application of systems and procedures, and develop enhancements when necessary.

You will report to the Head of the Project Coordination Specialist.

Job Purpose:

Working within a Country Office environment, you will contribute to the effective management of the UNFPA country programme activities by analyzing and assessing relevant political, social and economic trends, and by providing inputs to project formulation and evaluation, joint programming initiatives and national development frameworks.

 

Qualification and Experience

Education: 

Master’s degree in demography, Population Studies, Health, or other related Social Science field.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Two years of professional experience in the field of development and population activities, preferably in programme/project management;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with governments, the academia and development community;
  • Excellent report writing and compelling oral presentations;
  • Familiarity with the UN system is desirable.

Languages:

Fluency in English.
