The Programme Associate substantively contributes to the development and implementation of the Regional Office advocacy and communication strategy.

The Programme Associate applies established systems and procedures and assists in the documentation of substantive knowledge by compiling, synthesizing and analyzing information relevant to population dynamics, reproductive health and gender issues in the context of the regional advocacy/communication efforts. S/he is instrumental in facilitating communication and advocacy programme activities, using and developing appropriate mechanisms and systems and ensuring compliance with established procedures.

Education: 

Bachelor degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or relevant field is required.

Knowledge and Experience:

At least 5 years of professional experience at national or international level in Communications, or advocacy including media relations.

Experience in the use of social media.
 

Outstanding oral and written communications and editing skills, with proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
 

Experience working in development agency is an asset.
 

Experience in media relations is an asset.

Familiarity with development issues, sexual and reproductive health and gender issues is an asset.

Experience in using media equipment, photography and software related to audiovisual and/or graphic design will be an asset.
