Job Summary

The Position:

The Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Programme Analyst oversees UNFPA supported GBV Program interventions in Libya focusing on the provision of Psychosocial Support and Case Management services. This position involves supervision and capacity building of Case Managers and Case Workers operating in Women Friendly spaces run by UNFPA’s implementing partners.

You will report to the Programme Coordinator and work closely with the GBV Specialist

Job Purpose:

The Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Analyst is responsible for providing technical inputs to the planning, conceptualization, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of GBV interventions in development and emergency settings.

You will guide and facilitate the development and implementation of GBV preparedness and response interventions.

Education: 

Advanced Degree (Master) in social work, social sciences, gender, humanitarian affairs or other relevant disciplines

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum 2 years of increasingly responsible professional experience at the national or international level in GBV prevention and response programming, protection work, or disaster response;

Experience in GBV Case Management and PSS

Substantive knowledge and practical experience in multi sectoral protection activities;

Strong humanitarian contacts and proven success in emergency coordination related work;

Languages: 

Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic
