The Position:

The position of Media and Communications Analyst is located in the Afghanistan Country Office, the position reports directly to the Representative.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:

Educations:

•Advanced degree in or equivalent in Media Relations, Journalism, Publishing, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Sciences or related field.

Knowledge and experience:

•Two years professional experience in the field of development and population activities, preferably in programme/project management.

•Prior work experience in communication, coordination and management of external relations is required

•Knowledge of current developments in the fields of Reproductive Health, Population and Development and Gender. 

•Ability to research; analyze, evaluate and synthesize information. 

•Ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form.

•Ability to proofread and correct English-language copy. 

•Proven skills in communication and liaison functions. 

•Relating, networking, persuading and influencing. 

•Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment. 

•Knowledge of computer systems and applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).  

Languages: 

•Fluency in English and local languages (Dari and Pashto) is required.
