Job Purpose:

The M&E Analyst, in collaboration with the Programme Coordinator, governmental and non-governmental implementing partners, is responsible for monitoring and evaluation activities related to the implementation of My Choice Programme, based on Results-based management through by which all actors on the ground, contributing directly or indirectly to achieving a set of development results, ensure that their processes, products and services contribute to the achievement of desired results (outputs, outcomes and goals). Clearly ensuring accountability for results and require monitoring and self-assessment of progress towards results, including reporting on performance.

S/He is responsible for the integration of the different M&E components of My Choice Programme and is accountable for the accomplishment of programme results by providing technical expertise and assistance in setting targets and performance measurements, establishing baselines, collecting information/data, conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis, regular monitoring & evaluation, preparing reports and develop partners’ capacity. 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, management and/or other related field.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Five to six years of proven experience in programme monitoring and evaluation, preferably in social or public health programs in Mozambique.
  • Demonstrated implementation of RBM and human rights based approach.
  • Excellent planning, analysis and evaluation skills.
  • Good writing, communication and training skills.
  • Proficiency in database management and statistical packages.
  • Proven experience in Real-Time Monitoring system management and operational research, is considered an asset
  • Experience in working with government institutions, bilateral and multilateral organizations and civil society, young people is an asset
  • Experience in multisectoral projects, programmes or policies
  • A good understanding of the UN system in general, and especially UNFPA's mandate, its policies and operations and current development topics.
  • Full computer literacy.

Languages:

  •  Fluency in Portuguese and English
