About Us
UNFPA, the United Nations Populations Fund, is the lead UN agency for delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person’s potential is fulfilled.

How You Can Make a Difference
UNFPA remains the largest international source of population assistance to governments, non-governmental organizations and civil society in the Caribbean. Two frameworks guide its efforts: The Programme of Action adopted at the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) held in 1994, and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which the international development community committed itself to in the year 2000.

As UNFPA Liaison Officer, you would play a leading role in strengthening the Country’s capacity to implement the ICPD Program of Action. You would also substantively contribute to advancing a policy-oriented agenda, leveraging the resources of national governments, building strategic alliances and partnerships and developing internal and external communication. You would proactively support the resource mobilization strategies at country level and provide the Sub-Regional Office Director/Representative with information and guidance on population dynamics and its linkages with women and youth sexual and reproductive health, youth empowerment and gender equality.
