The Position:

Results planning, monitoring and reporting is coordinated from the Policy, Strategic Information and Planning branch of Policy and Strategy Division (PSD) of UNFPA. The consultant will be integrated within the Policy, Strategic Information and Planning team, and will support the duties related to results reporting and communications.

Job Purpose:

The consultant will support the results reporting and communications functions - including support to the analysis and reporting of performance and results of the UNFPA strategic plan.

You Would Be Responsible for:

Results reporting

  • Supporting analysis of strategic plan performance
  • Supporting the quality assurance of results achieved by the organization by liaising with UNFPA country offices
  • Developing and maintaining UNFPA strategic plan database
  • Providing support in preparing Executive Director Annual Report to the Executive Board
  • Providing support in preparing results reports for donors

 

Results communication

  • Maintaining UNFPA results portal, www.unfpa.org/data/results
  • Preparing ‘the orange book of results’, an annual publication that consists of results achieved by UNFPA which is available for public access
  • Maintaining Policy and Strategy Division social media platforms

 

Any other duties as advised by the data and results monitoring specialist of Policy Strategic Information and Planning Branch of Policy and Strategy Division.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of experience in results reporting and communications
  • Earlier experience in United Nations/UNFPA headquarters preferred
  • Experience in delivering innovative solutions
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to write clearly and concisely.
