This Checklist is a user-friendly guide for States and healthcare providers. It is based on human rights-based practices on how to prevent and respond to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) against girls and women with disabilities. It focuses on addressing the root causes of and preventing GBV against women and girls with disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic; ensuring access to GBV services, including justice mechanisms; and preventing and addressing GBV against women and girls with disabilities in the recovery from COVID-19.

Checklist for Preventing and Addressing Gender-Based Violence against Women and Girls with Disabilities during the COVID-19 Pandemic and the ‘Know Your Rights!’ guide have been adapted to an Easy Read version entitled ‘Violence against People with Disabilities because of Their Gender During COVID-19’.
