UNFPA at the Women Deliver Conference 2026
UNFPA Asia and the Pacific

At a time when anti-rights movements are gaining strength globally, the Women Deliver Conference, one of the world’s largest gatherings of advocates, policymakers and leaders dedicated to advancing gender equality, serves as a key opportunity to align on action to defend and propel the rights of women and girls around the world.

UNFPA will play a leading role at the conference, positioning sexual and reproductive health and rights at the centre of global efforts to advance gender equality in a rapidly changing demographic landscape.

Guided by its Strategic Plan 2026–2029, UNFPA will underscore how protecting bodily autonomy is fundamental to progress on individual empowerment and also more peaceful and prosperous societies. This includes sustained investment in sexual and reproductive health and rights, as well as stronger action to prevent and respond to gender-based violencechild marriage and female genital mutilation, grounded in data, evidence and lived realities. These priorities are critical to enabling gender-responsive climate action, strengthening demographic resilience and driving inclusive, sustainable development.

UNFPA will also amplify the voices and rights of those most often left behind, including adolescent girls and persons with disabilities, while engaging men and boys as essential partners in advancing equality. Across its engagement, UNFPA will highlight the importance of integrated, people-centred approaches that respond to the full spectrum of needs across the life course.

The conference is an opportunity to address these issues together with partners. UNFPA will deepen its collaboration with feminist movements worldwide, recognizing their central role in advancing rights and accountability. UNFPA will also confront emerging challenges such as technology-facilitated gender-based violence and support intersectional, women- and youth-led action that is shaping more just and equitable societies.
