UNFPA 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence: GBV Disruptor Conversations 2021

25 November 2021

Global

To observe the 16 Days of Activism this year, UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, is launching a series of virtual GBV Disruptor conversations. Starting on 25 November through 10 December, we will celebrate key international moments including the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, World AIDS Day, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and Human Rights Day. A special event on 6 December will mark femicide remembrance.

Wherever violence against women and girls occurs, it is a violation of human rights. UNFPA takes a stand against all forms of violence and this year, we are calling on people everywhere to stop violence in the digital realm.

This virtual GBV Disruptor series aims to amplify the results from the UNFPA gender-based violence (GBV) related programme, with a focus on digital violence and technology-facilitated gender-based violence, and to advocate with and mobilize actors to increase attention on efforts to end GBV.
