Together for Girls - Violence knows no borders

13 March 2018

One UN Plaza, New York

Violence against women and girls is the most prevalent human right violation in the world. It knows no social, economic or national boundaries. Worldwide, about one in three women experience violence in their lifetime.

This event – part of the 62nd session of the Commission on the Status of Women – brings together partners in the effort to end violence against girls, including the Spotlight Initiative, Join Girl Up, Together for Girls and Women Deliver. Together with global leaders and youth advocates, these partners will focus on successful, evidence-backed, and youth-led approaches and solutions to gender-based violence.

This event will be held from 11:30 to 1:30, New York time, and will be live-streamed at https://livestream.com/unfoundation/EndingViolence
