The Executive Board of UNDP, UNFPA and UNOPS will meet for its second regular session at the UN Headquarters from 24-27 August in New York.
UNFPA-related segments during the session will include a statement from Executive Director Ms. Diene Keita, a report on the UNFPA structured funding dialogue, 2025-2026, and the presentation of country programme documents, among other matters.
Made up of representatives of 36 countries who serve on a rotating basis, the Executive Board provides intergovernmental support to and supervision of the activities of UNDP, UNFPA and UNOPS, in accordance with the policy guidance of the General Assembly, the Economic and Social Council and the United Nations Charter. It ensures that UNDP, UNFPA and UNOPS remain responsive to the evolving needs of programme countries.
The Executive Board supports the work of UNFPA in delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every birth is safe and every young person’s potential is fulfilled.In carrying out its work, UNFPA counts on the guidance and counsel of the Executive Board.
The board sessions, which are held three times a year, are broadcast on UN Web TV.
