The country faces a complex humanitarian crisis driven by conflict, forced displacement, natural disasters and recurrent epidemics, including the Ebola virus disease. UNFPA works across humanitarian, development and peace efforts to provide access to gender-based violence (GBV) prevention services and sexual and reproductive health services, including family planning, midwifery, youth peacebuilding and assistance to survivors of GBV.
