With an emphasized focus on the well-being of the poor, the analysis aims to assess the successes and adequacies of national population-related policies, legislation programmes, and plans.  When the proper knowledge and information is obtained it will provide a basis for recommending strategic actions responsive to the population and reproductive health needs of the people in accordance with the principles of the ICPD Programme of Action.
