	Articles of the Political Covenant pertinent to reproductive rights include: ARTICLE 3: Men and women have an equal right "to the enjoyment of all civil and political rights." ARTICLE 6: "Every human being has the inherent right to life." ARTICLE 7: "No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. . . ." ARTICLE 9: "Everyone has the right to liberty and security of person." ARTICLE 18: "Everyone shall have the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion." ARTICLE 19: "Everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression; this right shall include freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers. . . ." ARTICLE 23: "No marriage shall be entered into without the free and full consent of the intending spouses."
