Young People Most at Risk of HIV

A meeting report and discussion paper

A new report from the Interagency Youth Working Group, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Inter-Agency Task Team on HIV and Young People, and FHI calls attention to young people ages 10–24 within the populations considered most at risk of HIV infection: young men who have sex with men, young people who sell sex, and young people who inject drugs.

Linkages: Evidence Review & Recommendations

Strengthening the linkages between sexual and reproductive health and HIV prevention, treatment, care and support is critical to achieving the Millennium Development Goals. This systematic review of the literature on linkages between these two areas was conducted in order to gain a clearer understanding of the effectiveness, optimal circumstances, and best practices for strengthening such links. The findings corroborate the many benefits of linking policies, systems and services related to sexual and reproductive health and HIV.
