In September 2016, the UNFPA Executive Board approved the 8th Country Programme commencing January 2017-2021. To facilitate the delivery of programme outcomes, a staffing alignment to the new country programme in line with programme objectives, priorities of the new Government of The Gambia and the resources realities is necessary. This is also in line with the United Nations Development Assistance Framework 2017-2022 and the agreed joint work plan of the UN Country Team. As Realignment Consultant, you will make the necessary human resources alterations to the existing staff structure of the Gambia Country Office to ensure quality delivery programmatic commitments as approved in the UNFPA Country Programme 2017-2021.

Expected results

• All positions to be recruited have strictly followed the various steps involved in UNFPA recruitment process;

• The files for all positions are ready for submission to the Compliance Review Board (CRB) in accordance with UNFPA procedures

Qualifications and experience

· Master’s degree in the fields of social sciences, administration or development sciences;

· Proven experience in recruitment processes;

· Having managed a high-level position in Public or Private Administration Sector for at least five (5) years with the Human Resources Management component as part of his or her responsibilities;

· Excellent analytical skills and a high capacity to synthesize information;

· A thorough knowledge of the recruitment procedures of the United Nations system in general and of UNFPA in particular would be an asset;

· Fluent in English

UNFPA Regional Office will provide economy class ticket for trip. DSA and Terminals will be paid at UN prevailing rate.
