UNFPA was a member of the National PRSP Technical Committee, and participated in forums and meetings related to the preparation of the document. It raised the importance of linking the PRSP to the National Population Action Plan, provided background materials on population and development and technical comments on the proposed content of the PRSP and successfully advocated including population policy in the strategy.
