UNFPA is distributing “dignity kits” – small
re-usable bags containing toothpaste, a toothbrush, soap, towels,
combs, sanitary napkins and other hygiene items – to displaced women
in war-torn Liberia.

A reproductive health assessment conducted by UNFPA finds that
damage to health facilities, water and electricity shortages, and
the lack of drugs and medical equipment are having devastating
impacts on the health of the Iraqi people. |

in Sierra Leone has joined the UNFPA-supported
Global Youth Partners initiative,
which helps prevent the spread of HIV among young people worldwide. |
