In the poor neighborhood of Guediawaye in Dakar, SCOFI, a local NGO, provides disadvantaged elementary school girls with remedial reading and writing skills, enabling them to remain in school and complete their studies. Aissatou Fall, a 12 year old girl from a poor family, has graduated from the 5th class and will move to secondary school.
"This programme is good because I learned faster and completed elementary school. Now I want to continue my studies and go to university to become a pediatrician," she says.
