Adolescent girls at the Lycee girls school in Nouakchott are members of the EMP Girls' Club. The club organizes contests in drama and the arts, plans and carries out advocacy campaigns in local communities to increase awareness of HIV/AIDS, the need to postpone marriage, and the importance of access to reproductive health services and information. The club also sponsors lectures on environment and population issues.
