Project Title:
Strengthening Health and Social Services to meet Adolescent Girls’ Sexual and Reproductive Health Needs.
Objective/s/Goal:
The main goal of the project is to strengthen the participation and development of rights of adolescents and to improve the quality of life of adolescent girls in the Bazega and Fada regions of Burkina Faso.

Status on Project Activities
The focus of this project is on married adolescent girls and young parents, providing them with access to reproductive health information in their communities. Peer educators have been trained in life skills and livelihoods opportunities and reproductive health. Advocacy efforts with decision makers and community leaders have been successful because of the active participation of religious leaders, as well as political and administrative officials. Social and health workers have received training in contraceptive logistics, quality assurance, mass communication, dual protection, gender and sexually transmitted infections care..
