How to Design and Conduct a Country Programme Evaluation at UNFPA

Resource date: 2013

The Independent Evaluation Office has developed a practical tool to help evaluation managers and evaluators apply methodological rigour to the evaluation of country programmes. Following the approval of the new evaluation policy, the IEO undertook a revision of the Handbook.
In particular, the updated Handbook describes the roles and responsibilities of the evaluation team, the evaluation manager and the relevant business units throughout the evaluation process.
The Handbook also seeks to familiarise users with basic concepts, approaches and techniques in evaluation and how to apply them in the specific context of country programme evaluations at UNFPA.
